By accessing or using MakorBooks (“the Platform”), including Makor Studio, the Bookstore, and all related services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform.
MakorBooks provides the following core services:
You must create an account to access certain features. When registering, you agree to:
MakorBooks reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in fraudulent or harmful activity.
Your Content: You retain 100% ownership and full copyright of all content you upload to MakorBooks, including sermon recordings, manuscripts, book content, cover designs, and all creative works. MakorBooks does not claim any ownership rights over your content.
Licence to MakorBooks: By uploading content to the Platform, you grant MakorBooks a limited, non-exclusive licence to display, distribute, and promote your content solely for the purpose of operating the Platform (including listing books on the Bookstore, displaying author profiles, and featuring content in platform marketing). This licence terminates when you remove your content from the Platform.
Marketing Use of Cover Art and Excerpts: Using your book's cover, title, author name, and short excerpts drawn from its content to promote your book and MakorBooks on our official social media channels (including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, and YouTube) and in other marketing materials, on-platform and off-platform, requires your separate, explicit consent, which you give or decline per book, via a dedicated checkbox during book submission or at any time afterward from My Books. It is optional and does not affect your ability to publish. Any excerpts used are drawn only from the manuscript of books where you have given consent, we do not use sermon audio or other private materials for this purpose, and you will always be credited as the author. You can withdraw consent for a specific book at any time from My Books, or by contacting admin@makorbooks.com.

Digital Products: All book purchases on the Bookstore are for digital products (PDF and read-online formats). Due to the nature of digital goods, refunds are generally not provided after the product has been accessed or downloaded, except where required by applicable law.
Physical Copies: Physical book orders are currently not available. When introduced, separate shipping and return policies will apply.
Refund Requests: Refunds are available within 24 hours of purchase and only for the following reasons: (1) the file is corrupted or unreadable, (2) a duplicate charge occurred for the same book, or (3) the wrong book was delivered due to a platform error. To request a refund, contact admin@makorbooks.com with your payment reference and the reason. Refund requests submitted after 24 hours, or for reasons other than those listed above, will not be accepted.
Makor Studio Purchases: Purchases of Makor Studio tiers, revision credits, and cover design add-ons begin being fulfilled immediately, generation, credit allocation, or designer work starts on payment. These purchases are non-refundable once processed, except where (1) payment was successfully charged but the purchase failed to unlock on your account, (2) a duplicate charge occurred, or (3) a technical error on our part prevented delivery. Dissatisfaction with generated content or a delivered cover design is addressed through the review, editing, and revision tools built into each product, not through a refund, revision limits for cover design are stated at the time of purchase.
MakorBooks strives to maintain high platform availability. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may occasionally suspend services for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of planned downtime.
MakorBooks is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, MakorBooks shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to loss of revenue, data, or goodwill.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Platform after modifications constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We will notify active users of significant changes via email or platform notification.
You may terminate your account at any time through your account settings. MakorBooks may suspend or terminate your access for violations of these terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Content licences granted to MakorBooks for published content will terminate, and your published books will be removed from the Bookstore.
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Nigerian courts.
